Peabody and Berkeley are proposing to transform 17 acres of land to the north of plumstead station which is currently vacant, disused and inaccessible to the public. The site is one of the largest areas for development within Abbey Wood, Plumstead and Thamesmead Housing Zone.
Working with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the GLA, our emerging proposals will create a dynamic and well-designed new neighbourhood which benefits the existing local residents and businesses in Plumstead, Broadwater Green and Thamesmead.
Our ambitions will create:
1. A Catalyst For Change
Making the most of a vacant, derelict and inaccessible site
2. Pathways and Places for People To Meet
Increasing the connections to the wider areas of Plumstead, Broadwater Green and Thamesmead
3. Open Spaces
Open and welcoming green open spaces for everyone to enjoy
4. Social Spaces For Work
Employment and generator spaces for local or 'start-up' businesses
5. Exemplary Design
High quality architecture and homes for everyone
6. Bio-Diverse Green Areas
A variety of engaging play spaces and tranquil bio diverse open spaces to promote healthy living.
